can you loose boost in a turbo?

ive had an annoying boost leak on my avant since i got it,should be boosting to 1.4 bar.

Spec is:

Homefry
3" Turbo back Zorst-no cats,just 1 silencer
BMC Race Air filter
Samco Hose kit all round
Mark H Mod

Im on my 3rd S2 now and we all know they're renowned for boost leaks.There aint no pipe that hasnt been changed.
One thing i do know is my Turbo is knackered,i know the seals have gone,luckily i have a new one to throw on.
Is it possible you can loose boost through a fooked Turbo?

speak to bry or fitzy as they did a boost leak check on fitzy's avant and had a problem like this at ADI last year.

just found out ive got an exhaust leak at the bottom of the downpipe,bet thats not helping

that would just be a waste gas leak, have you tried a boost leak test as that should show up a leak thru the turbo if yours is the same problem as fitzy's was
