Quick hijack, but out of curiosity what was the metal bracket like? Ive just got rid of the old horrible Nissen rad for a proper one and an L shaped bracket fell off the lower mounting somehwere when I was removing the old rad before I could see where it came from. Didnt seem to serve any useful purpose so I left it off and everything seems fine... but you got me wondering now!!

    cheers

Derby TPS - and that was with discount. Retailed at about £250 I think.

Cheers mate - thought you meant that one as I couldnt see how the other bracket I meant could effect anything, other than not providing enough support at the bottom!

The only problem I had with the one in you're pic was getting the little rubber bobbin (where it screws to the rad housing) off the old one. Seized up solid so just left it. We had to make a replacement from an old grommet as I belive it needs to be able allow a little movement to absorb shocks on that brace etc.

            cheers
