    gasket on turbo to zorst

last weekend i swapped turbos. the car already came with a 3 " turbo back stainless from powerflow (sounds like a v8).
when i took the turbo off there was no gasket to the exhaust. Question is should there be?
    I would have said yes

    I've got one on mine

Bolts shouldn't be over tightened from memory just in case you've leant on them with a breaker bar

If there is "standard" flange there should be gasket between. My turbo has " V-band discharge" and there's gasket unnecessary.

It's fairly cheap. Use a stubby spanner to get the awkward nut off if you've not got a bent spanner to hand
