When surveyed, 3 out of 5 spark plugs say they like to just "hang loose"!

Clean my engine and bay today and thought I'd check my plugs while I was at it. Bloody lucky that I did! 3 out of 5 (middle 3) were loose as hell. Loose enough to get some blow past from the cylinder judging by the state of the holes and threads.

Some seemed to have oily build up on the main body of the plug, any ideas?

Seems to run much better now (placebo effect?).
