From what I know the car may suffer more from boost spikes, as the WGFV won't have as much control over boost.
I asked Mihnea a long time ago about a stiffer spring on a stock setup, he wasn't keen on the idea and said it would need another remap anyway.
But then, it all depends on how much you like to cut into your safety margins. Turn the knock sensors off and run 1.1 bar to the redline if you like, sure the car will go faster, but that sort of thing isn't for me.

There's an article I found on autospeed on how to fit a bleed valve to an AAN.

as you all know i have tim coopers green avant, which i bought complete with digitec chip and uprated spring, ran very lean and boost spike city.
i reverted it back to a homefry, but tried the digitec spring at the same time.....AWFUL !!
Boost more aggressive and at the top end of the rev range felt breathless(Fuel and ecu probs?).
Put a stock spring in (Cheers Newsh) and has been perfect ever since

Well there we are - obviously that spring was TOO stiff for the mix. Any clue what rating that spring was ?

If it's the same as mine then it's 1.9bar.

                          wastegate

So with a standard spring fitted, what is the difference per full turn of the adjustment screw. Checked mine over the weekend and it was quite loose and fully wound out. Will one full turn improve the spool up and max alloweable boost above 5000rpm. Presently drops to 0.4 bar after 5000rpm.
