if your hotside is checked and not cracked, you could treat it with cryogenics.Ford supposedly does this on the Focus ST manifold/hotside in order to achieve reliablility and better fuel consuption by going leaner.
I also did it on my hotside and EM.I dont know however until something actually cracks that this method is pointless. So far when i was in Switzerland last summer i had a friend there, mechanic who changed my reverse lights sensor and noticed that he was getting rather more heat radiation from the EM area that what he was used to.This is a fact known about cryogenics,is that metals which have been treated this way eminate more heat, faster due to metal molecules reconfiguration. So im guessing something has been done to my EM and hotside!
Also it is cheap. At least in greece for hotside and EM i payed 100euro(78GBP).

Just spoke to TD and they were very helpful. I asked about hybrid options and they offer a larger compressor wheel on the standard S2 turbo and suggested that it would be worth 30 - 40 bhp. I think I'll pass for now as it would require a remap but just to let others know. Price for the rebuild + larger comp. was inline with secondhand RS2 turbo prices if anyone is interested.
