I have been having some intermittent problems for the last couple of weeks -
First of all i went to put my foot down and almost got sent through the windscreen as the car boost cut from 1.3 bar down to .4. This continued to happen whenever it went above 1 bar, it would cut and then pick up again.
After turning it off an on again - all seemed ok. Until i next took the car for a drive, and whenever the boost went above .8 bar it cut down to .4.
Driving a day later - everything was fine
In addition to that, i was in the process of overtaking a skyline (who inevitably was making the job hard) a couple of days ago and i noticed that when changing up the boost gauge showed 0 bar, which was wrong. It then shot straight up to 1.4 bar despite no power change.
A day later, trying to get to the bottom of this, the car was apparently idling at 0 boost, as opposed to -.7, and this didn't change no matter how much right foot you gave it. The car was also clearly running off mechanical boost only.
The problem?...
The damn boost hose was bent in half just before the T piece for the ECU and boost gauge
