engine leg mount replacement, just a thought

A few weeks ago i replaced my turbo and whilst at it i thought id replace my engine mount at the same time as it was defo feked.
so i managed to get the old turbo off and to my horror the engine bracket was flapping around in the breeze
there are 3 mounting bolts for the bracket to fix onto the block, and one was missing, one was snapped off (the head of the bolt) and the other loose.
when the leg came out a corner had snapped off and was always going to be a bodge to repair.
Luckily Stu (cheers chap) had a spare and i want to know if i can fit it by taking the crossmember off rather than the turbo. with the crossmember out of the way access looks easy.
    Can it be done?

I've removed an engine support from a 7A to gain access to the starter motor. Did the job from under the car without removing sub frame or manifold. One thing that may block your path on an S2 is the oil cooler.

i just think for the 20 mins to get the bumper, slam panel (not essential) and crosmember off it will be easier.

TBH it's getting hard to remember what a full S2 engine bay looks like these days.
Like most jobs it's all about getting what you can out of the way to make access easier. Get the front end off to shed some light on it.
