    Water Manifold machining

Hi guys I am using a 7A head and need the water manifold mounting position machining on the side of the head. One engineering company close to me has quoted me £200 which is steep I think. Has anyone got any suggestions and prices for me to clarify this cost...

I believe that Paul (S2Central.net) has covered this on his "machine head project" here.

Thanks guys I have colected my parts had a moan and found somewhere else to do the job for £40... It will be ready for collection Friday.

Now then where in Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire does gas flowing for reasonable money???

I could do most of this stuff myself but it's a time factor.... I have enough welding to keep me occupied for weeks yet.

Thats a joke... Get that template, some new drill bits and a shot of whiskey to calm your nerves. I did this with a hand drill - very carefully - and tapped the new holes myself with a cheap lil tap/die set. 200 quid is a sick joke.
