Meh, so long for easy "bolt-on" 3071R K24/26 hybrid

Now I have to first smoothen out this inlet, modify gasket and exhaust manifold. Had I known this before ordering, I would have ordered my manifold and turbo with T3 flanges.

Don't want to blame anyone, just a heads up.

My 3076r were deliverd like this too, but after a great effort of porting the whole exhaust side, it did end up pretty nice and smooth.
But all in all, Garrett should get smacked delivering turbos with that bad machining..

Well known issue thanks to Prosty, AndersS2 and Aronmatic

If you notice AET, ATP etc never show pictures of the outlet of the turbo for a K26 replacement on their websites........................

        I wonder why!

I went for a T3 and have the Wagner RSE Evo manifold with T3 flange for this very reason.

I've never seen an offiicial part number for the K26 hotside on the Garrett site so they don't produce it themselves either.

Yeah, just have to take tools to my furry hands and start grinding, nothing that proper tools and patience wont cure.

I still think that this is a half-assed job trying to make "bolt-on" things, but live and learn.

hehehe, I just bolted it on like it came in the picture on the top.

When I take off the turbo one day I think I will grind away those edges as well.
