would surprise me if we start theing these pop up all over the place now, i was thinking about doing a dry sump for my final year project.
btw, having a closer look it seems that you have 2 scavenger pumps and only one delivery pump, isnt it normally the other way round??

Well if you really want to know you are looking with everything, pipes, fittings, blanking plates, tank, remote filter housing, cradle and spacers, etc. approx: ÂŁ2500 plus the vodka and tonic.
I am making nothing out of it, I can assure you. Just some expenses for organising it.

That's a very good price if you compare that to the Dahlback kit which probably works out about ÂŁ3800

Nice work, i really like the system. A few questions though I see the cradle but are you going to use a crank scrapper? Also what capacity will the system be?

Not one to be a critic but your dry sump pan has a pretty large capacity.....

Regardless of the size or design of the sump there are 2 scavange pumps that remove oil from the said sump at a rate of 50 litres per minute (25 litres each) per 1000rpm, so the sump is not going to have any oil in it. As explained above somewhere the sump had to be made from an original one for costs restrains, if money was no objects a new cast sump could have been made and maybe it would have been more appealing to the eye, but for the purpose of efficiency and application it does not matter.

No there is no crank scraper and the tank will be somewhere in the region of 7-8 litres.

It looks amazing Aelred. A credit to yourself for taking such time to get the set up made. If people are so bothered about the sump they can have there own made surely.
