    Care to explain why?

The pumps are going to create a near vacume in the sump and crankcase, so any oil is going to be sucked out by the pumps regardless of size.

I would also be intrested why he thinks a smaller sump would be better.

Like you say Hamish the sump will have vacum with the 2 scavenge pumps.

@ Aelred Does this kit require a wider timing belt and cam pulley? in your pics the pullys look very wide.

No it does not require the wider belt, the original one was made for a revving engine of above 8500rpm, just built for extra safety in mind. But if you are going to get the benefit of the drysump kit one of the many factors is the revving, which will give you the BHP

I was searching, for a dry sump kit, send a few emails, the prices semed quite big, for my income, on zatzy 4600E, was regarded as an OK price . But i have received an offer, from drysump.com, here it go :

          what i wrote. :
Hi, I am intrested in purchasing a dry sump kit for Audi URS4 - Audi S4 in Europe, with 5 cylinder 2.2l turbo engine. I want to know if you have already a kit for this car, or if is posible to build one (3 scavenger + 1 pressure) , and what will be an estimate price, for the whole kit. Thanks

          Response :

I would need to fab you a 5 cyl dry sump pan, but the rest of the components are no problem. Can you send me a stock pan? The complete kit, with tank, filters, pump, pan ( everything you need but lines) would be around $2000.00 .

Which it seems quite good price ?

Good work on the kit, suprised it came out at being that expensive but thats development for you !

I'm using a Swindon dry sump on my Escort, several other people I know use the Pace setups with good results, certainly a good modification if your going to start revving/tracking it.

Comment to the kit list. Waudi Seat has the wide belt required if length is ok. Even the new pulleys only (down under, water pump, adj. cam pulley; - just for as RS upgrade without the glorious sump system)) would be great for the wider belt. (Check "Seat ETKA" for the wider Belt :-)

The Seat belt width is ok for wide adjustable cam pulley and then you only need the RS spec teeth number for water pump and the wide pulley at the bottom...

A dream sump machine for the power. aelred, Great Kit work .

[ Dahlbeck has the wide adjustable cam pulley alternative available. Now you know why it was meant to be wider for durability at 9k.
