    Are 1600cc injectors overkill ?

Looking for 650-700hp are 1600cc injectors a bit overkill or will 900cc injectors be ok ?

IMO yes, speak to Terrybullwon who is aiming for the same BHP range and see what he will be using.

Getting idle on 1600cc injectors is going to be a trick and a half for the mapper.

900-1200cc will do, biggest problem will be fuel supply, you may need dual fuel pumps.

I have 3 044 pumps and -8 supply to 750cc injectors. Jamo is spot on.. any more and idle becomes a issue. Unless your ecu will allow you to run two banks of injectors?

And a good pressure gauge and FPR is a must. I will run mine at quite a high pressure.

I would say you will not even start the engine with those in.

What cc's are the standard AAN injectors ? (just thinking of 2 injectors per cylinder)

multi injector set up can be done but usually you run a small 400cc lets say and large 1000cc injector. There are few EMS that support it and if they do they can do 8 cylinders with one injector each which would allow a 4cyl engine to run a 2/cyl setup. Ive yet to see a EMS that can do a 10cyl sequential injection setup if they do support 10cyl or more its most likely going to be batched injection which can't be used to power 2 injectors/cyl.

Standard AAN/ABY injectors flow 320cc per minute at 4bar

going for 1600cc isn't that bad. get the best design you can. i am aware of a few 16vt's running 1600's with sds management.

like otyhers say though best to size them more accurately unless cost is an issue which it shouldn't be with such high power targets

IMO - that is total overkill for a 600-700bhp target... The 900cc injectors (rated at 3bar fuel pressure) should be more than ample for that spec. You'll flow even more fuel with higher pressure of course...

900cc are fine for your power on regular fuel. If your are going for E85, they are too small.
I have 1600 cc in my 5 cyl and no problem idling at afr 14,7:1 on regular pump fuel. Running a Haltech E11v2 ecu.

I was looking at the Haltech E11v2 ecu is it easy to set up ? There seems to be 3 ecu's that can do 10 cylinder sequential injection (haltech,AEM and DTA) AEM is expensive and the Haltech and DTA seem to be priced about the same(not sure if the AEM is worth more money ?) any ideas ?
