WHAT OIL IN RS2- 360bhp 5-40 10-40 ? Help

Just looking for a final answer to what oil I should put in my car before GTi International? Its for fast driving, gets quite hot, dont do many miles.

140,000 Mile 1994 Rs2 Avant.

Any suggestions?

i use 10W60 castrol but i think the best for every use on the RS2 in the UK is the 300V motul 15W50

If I cant get that toady, do u think I will be ok puting in Castrol Edge 5/40? I have not got much time to get my oil changed before GTI Inters.

if you get 5/40 then definitelly get some extra with you cause it is likely that a nice amount of it will be burnt.You dont want tappets sounding now,do you?

The best oil wisdom suggests 10w50 Silkolene Pro-S is the best all round performer.

5W40 is too thin.

Im using the Silkolene 10w50 in mine.......quite expensive but i do reccomend it.

i use only castrl 10/60 in my s2. i tried several other oils but castrol is the best for now
