    Lambda sensor for 3B

    Advice needed please folks.

My lambda has never been changed - now at 140k miles. This might explain poor mileage and the odd misfire.

VAGparts look a tad dear. I can't find a direct replacement or universal type using search on here. Anyone got a link?

    Cheers.

You think we've got it bad, £70 seems like a bargain after I went into Ford for a replacement Lambada for a 52 plate Ka, the bad news was that there were two of the ******s, the even worse, almost hysterical news was that they were £117 and £127 + the Vodka And Tonic! I winced and left hastilly

I'm actually running a single wire (unheated) Bosch unit that I had in my parts box. The OXS is located right after the turbo, so it heats up to operating temp almost immediately, so no real need for a heated one. Unheated ones cost pretty much nothing and are less prone to problems.

I bought myself a Bosch LS02 universal lambda sensor not so long ago. I bought it off eBay from a company called Middlesex Tuning for £44.95. I've just looked on there but they dont seem to have any in stock, they have LS01,3,4 and 7 but not LS02. Might be worth asking if they've got them. How about trying Euro Car Parts, they supply Bosch stuff too.

If you get hold of one, they are pretty easy to fit, even a chimpanzee like myself managed to fit it right first time.

Admittedly mine was for an ABY but I'm sure a 3B one is the same.

Direct fit for £62 delivered from lambdasensor.com. Never realised 3B was the same as ABY.

                Cheers folks.
