Audi 90 -86 USA VS europe

I bought my self an audi 4000 s quattro to be as a daily driver. Google says that it only has 115 HP but the european modell 90 quattro has 136 HP and it should be the same 5-cyl engine.
Does anybody know what the difference is between these engines?

    Emmisions control most likely.

Not sure, but i know it is emmisions related. Probably just a more restrictive cat or ECU.

Euro cars didn't have a cat, maybe thats your difference.

115hp sounds like the 2.0 5cyl fitted to the Audi 90, only the 90q got the 136hp 2.2 5cyl AFAIK

yes its probably the cat, sorry my mistake about the ecu as the the kv wouldn't have one!!

I know the 20v is 10 bhp less i the USA, not sure how that works since both Euro and USA cars have a cat so i'm guessing that could be ECU related?
