Thanks to Carsten for sorting me out a manifold, only took a bit of work to fit the large flange for the 80mm TB. Just need to sort a few issues and normal service will be resumed.

Your engine bay looks pretty mental mark, there are hoses and leads everywhere

Looks mental... How much grief involved getting that IM from Carsten fettled in then ?

I have one here ready for a build sometime this century (fat chance).

It's not (only) the boostpressure that kills, it's fatigue by the loadcycles the engine makes.

Not too hard really, I already had a flange that came with the 80mm TB and I bolted this to the IM via the original TB bolt holes on the Wagner IM. I welded it on too and built up a lot of ally around it that was then shaped with a grinder. The inlet hole was then ground out to match the 80mm flange and it was done.

I agree, its the on throttle/off throttle (boost/vacuum) loads. They must make a welded plate plenum expand and contract like a lung.

Than engine looks lovely!! By the way Mark, do you still have the other manifold?
                Cheers!

Yes but someone else is on the waiting list to take it if Mark desides to give it away!

Mark, do you see other engine behaviour with this manifold compared to the dual plenum one?

I should have imagined that , but... what does make you think that I could be interested in the manifold?
                    Well... obviously I was xDD.
                    Cheers!!

                      manifold split

how is the manifold fitted ? we had a problem with a manifold splitting that we eventualy traced to the mountings we had ,basicly we had to many mounting points which caused a push effect on one part and a pull effect on the other we then got a crack the same as what yours looks like , maybe you are having the same prob?
