    engine cutting out

i have a problem with the shorty when i hit around 25psi of boost it cuts out for a split second then i get the power back it runs fine up to then .
when minhea mapped it this problem was there even he can't make out what it is .
nothing comes up on the diagnostics i've changed the coilpacks and all the pipes seem tight enough .has anyone come across this problem before ?.

my TiTY used to have a sticky WGFV used to boost, then go flat then boost again, squirt of wd40 sorted the problem for a short while

My UR was doing similar, After much checking/changing parts I replaced the wastegate, the old one had alot of ware in the guide and on the valve, diaphram was fine.
Worth a quick strip of yours,

Checked the vacuum pipe isnt bent over going into the ECU? I had a similar problem due to this. (I'm assuming you're shorty is the same as the S2)

Where is your MAF located and have you changed the bore of the pipe it is mounted in. Could be boost limited exceeded.

Raising the threshold does not seam to stop this. The air speed over the MAF could be to fast and the complicated way that the ECU measures boost limit thinks that it has exceeded its limit.

Interestingly mine does something similar but only if for example: you are cruising in 4/5th and floor it the boost raises rapidly and triggers an over boost situation and it dies (due to my boost limit being high it does not go into limp mode) as soon as you let off the power comes back.

If however i boost it through the gears and the engine does not labour on the boost the boost limit does not get exceeded..

May not be the case with yours but just my 2ps worth...

I must get around to sorting mine.... but I'm very rarely cruising....
