Still Not Starting after Hall Sendrer Replacement

    Hi All

After a good fast run through one of our beautiful Mountain Passes in the Cape, my ABY S2 would not start.
Got the code 00515, so I bought the very expensive Hall Sender from my local Stealer.
But after replacement the S2 will still not start. Vagcom still gives 00515 fault.

We have checked the output of the Hall Sender and Crank postion Sender and they all give an acceptable pulse signal on a scope. Made sure the signal reachers the ecu as well.

However there is no signal to the coils or the injectors.

    Any idea?

That is puzzling for sure. Be aware that the fuel pump relay may be involved in this story. At least that is true for the UrS4: if the J17 FP relay is not working then a bunch of other things don't work either:

I would check the timing from the flywheel. You might have broken lower cam sprocket. It gives the same code.

Looks like the Cam Pulley was damaged on the re-assembly after changing the Hal Sender unit...dont ask me how
            Changed the pulley...starts fine now.
