Does anyone use the GT3076R on their AAN?

If anyone does, then what is the spool up time? I'm not sure if I should use the
    GT3071 or GT3076.

I want the car to be driveable so a turbo that spools up at 4000+ won't do.

My car is an S6. The engine has been stripped to make way for SCAT rods, new rings, harder rod bearings, aluminium flywheel + the bottom end is being dynamically balanced.

GT3071 will get full boost at about 3500-3700 so that you wont get any big surge.Lower than that you will get more surge.
The GT3076 may get you at about 4000rpm but it is much better. If you get full boost at 4200 for example, you will be having 1bar at about 3700rpm which is not a big difference from 3071R.

      Thanks.
I intend to stick with normal cams (for drivability), but have heard that they run out of puff at 6500. On this basis, should I put a 7A(exhaust) cam in?

        A .63 3071 will get you boost around 3-3.3k

        A .63 3076 will get you boost about 3.5k and .82 around 3.8k

not entirely true about the 3071 jamo.Numbers are there but although free flowing,a 3071R with .63AR no tuner will ever leave it @ 3000-3300 because of surging when you use OEM EM and OEM cams.Tried and failed on every occasion.

Ross 3071 with 7a exhaust cam had full boost by 3300rpm

i was going to use an rs2 manifold, but after find out that its limits is 420hp (on this forum) i have decided on a wagner/034 cast manifold. Tubular has been ruled out because my Stromung downpipe is standard fitment. the turbo also has the 4" anti surge housing.

dont forget that 7A cam will allow more exhaust fumes to pass by as well.Makes a small difference as well.
If you go with ADU cams, surging is more apparent.

@URSIMPO yes go with the evo carsten manifold. The 4inch bell housing may make a difference.I also have it but surging is there if you go WOT @3000rpm.If you go wot @4000rpm it is less and sometimes not at all

different/uprated cams may give you a bit less surging and more power on top range.you can try 7A exhaust cam only if you dont want to loose spool as well

ok, i will try the 7a cam and also change the diverter valve to a Forge item. Its my understanding -after googling turbo surge-that surge is the result of the turbo stalling due to air being unable to escape. However my mate also said the too much air into the turbo also causes surging. I guess the 7a cam will be ok, although i will have to chage the vavle spring to uprated jobbies.

i would describe it as the turbo sending too much air in the engine, and the engine not being able to cope and use it,especially in low revs,so it backlashes towards the turbo itself causing slow turbo damage.A cyl.head treatment for flow capabilities along with cams will cure the problem.
