For what it's worth, "I believe" a flywheel from an Audi 200 after the body update, with the MAC-14 dual knock sensing ignition and 8.3:1 (U.S) or 8.6:1 (Europe) is the same as a 3B flywheel. They are flat instead of dished. This is based on my perspective from the U.S., so I could be wrong about European models.

But if it is correct for European models, you might have an easier time finding a non-3B 200 flywheel than a 3B-specific one.

If that doesn't help enough, I have a loose one I can get a part number from and post it here.

kaaperdaja : from what I've got I can say that 881861 999802 say's organic clutch , but look like a sinter pad (definetly).

Also, yes the flat flywheel pressure plate is different than the one for the dished flywheel. Basically the metal cover is dished instead of flat.

When changing to the flat flywheel from the dished for weight savings, the savings isn't equal to the difference in flywheel weights. I think the 3B-style pressure plate is heavier than the one for the dished wheel, but it's still a weight savings.

I don't have any info on the clutch part numbers.

Timucin - you cou try geting your clutch strengthened and new material added like mine, tom's, Steve's and I think Mark might be doing it as well.

If you get in touch with SteveH (I think he's on holiday for a week though) he might be able to sort something out for you.

I'm getting the standard ABY clutch done - due to lack of cash.

I've been down to this place with Steve, and they do a great job, they overhaul and uprate the whole unit, new springs and friction material to the friction plate and an upgrade of the cover plate with stronger and more straps for more clamping force. All this for a frction of the cost of an 'uprated clutch'.

Like Doug says contact Steve H for more details.

I think you save a lot on rotating weight changing to the 3B flywheel - the dual mass is really heavy just to make gearchanges feel smoother - I doubt you are bothered about smooth changes with 500bhp.

Speak to Steve - he might be able to sort a 3B setup for you and get it reconditioned.
