    Ur S6 - 034 Motorsport Ignition Conversion

Here are the comparison pictures between the ‘034 M’sport’ ignition amplifier bracket and the one I made to fit the ignition amplifiers in my (RHD) Ur S6.

Quite a simple modification once you have a custom bracket made and a set of new correct length spark plug leads. The original bracket is not usable on the RHD Ur S6, as there is no space available to fit it. The Stainless Steel version I made, fits directly into the space left by the removal of the original primary ignition amplifiers on the engine bay bulkhead. It even use some of the original suds welded to the bulkhead for fixing point, although I did add a few more for security and to stop any potential vibration and stress cracks, etc. I did use slightly longer threaded bar and thicker stainless steel tube compared to that which was supplied by 034 M’sport to beef it up a little, etc.

I have not had any problems at all with the set up and although I have not used the car for a few months due to working abroad, the car kicked straight into life with no problem and it drives superbly. (Now been used for ‘9’ months)

I have one more bracket left if anybody is considering the conversion. Obviously I would give any help needed as well, as I have already done it and know what pit falls you will have.

I have other pictures up loaded in the ‘S6’ picture gallery from the conversion. (The bolt in the Waistgate is gone and a standard version is now fitted, just in case you ask!!)

I will get round to fitting the Audi arch extensions eventually.

    All the best,

    Andy H.

Very nice. I am looking for bracket ideas and that is a very good one. If I had a RHD car, I would be looking at your spare.

I am looking at using General Motors Vauxhall Monaro coils instead of the 034 HO coils. Same idea, easier supply and replacement. Four pin inlet, like the 1.8t coil packs (but different pin order), two holes for mounting, like your 034 coils, so a bracket like yours would be a good idea. Probably looking at GM 12573190 D514A coils or GM 10457739 D585 coils.

Again very nice bracket. Good work.

This sound like a good idea, as the 034 kit is not so cheap please post you ideas
