    Pressure test: how to?

    Hi!

Tell me guys what is the right way to test systems pressure?

I've read on forums that one user had to wait 5-6min to slowly get all the pressurized air out but I've nothing close to it.
I used this manual to test my system http://a4mods.com/index.php?page=web...boostleak.html

    ..so I closed this hole:

..and made something close to this:

so far everything fine. Lets make some pressure.. I've boost gauge onboard so I easely can see how much I have there.. and I couldnt get more than ~0.5bar. After stoping to let the air in it my boost gauge started to drop. About a half min and its back to zero
So.. is this OK or should I check for leaks? When its pressureized 0.5bar, no noises can be heared.

i always found it difficult to pressure test the whole system all at once.Turbo seals are not to be able to hold high pressure and tend to leak,so you think you have a boost leak.My car never seem to get more than .5bar of pressure and lost it in 10-15sec.BUT i didnt have any boost problems at the time!

So i took the hose from the turbo outlet and pressure tested the system up to the throttle body to see if intercooler and hoses where OK.Then i tested the hoses going to the DV separatelly. Finally you can try to do the cyl.head as well to see if there is loss from the oil cap or something, but again it wont make much difference, cause if you have a leak there, you will have to renew cyl head components and some times you never know where the hisssss is coming from anyway. You could try it to check the ventilation system.
