Turbo EX man and WG help?

Hi guys, I need some advice and help...

I have been reading the thread on the overboost problem and noticed that the mentioned broken wastegate has a centre nut on an ABY is this correct? Mine has no centre nut or protruding stud? I assume this is to alter preload?

Also, I am looking at a new EX manifold for fitting a GT3071R in the near future, but will my standard T24 fit onto the T26 manifold in the mean time? Or should I just go for T3?

    Cheers for the help folks

PS does anyone know if MRC are still doing their generic maps cheap?

Wastegates don't have a bolt or stud on the S2. It should just be a blank plate on top. Best to keep it that way too.

I wouldn't bother with that, I'd go for the well proven and well enjoyed Paul Nugent (S2Central) homefry.
UrS6 - Homefry, Bailey DV, PiperX filter, Samco hoses, H&R springs, 3" D/P back zorst, 270bhp and 260ftlb

Triumph Daytona 955i - mmmmmm :fire:

all wasteagates supposedly come with a closed tap on top so that you cannot use the existing screw underneath. If you use a drill and open the tap, then you can access the screw, which you can manipulate(if you can get it moving at first). That will give you alternating boost pressures depending on how much you screw it down or unscrew it.However with the original screw you have little ability anyway. If you use a bigger screw and a nut, then you can do more.BUT without the proper ECU remap, you stand a chance of melting a piston at some point due to high EGTs,

So best is to have an EGT sensor installed, get a remap with a set position of the screw, and then maybe depending on the enrichment of the mixture on high revs, you can get away with a bit more boost. maybe 0.5 more or something.

So would my ABY turbo work on the K26 manifold? Until I get a new turbo? Or should I get a T3?
