Little trivia guys ..After fitting new lambda, Samco pipes and timing belt to dm80 car it has developed a problem with cutting out (when slowing down for junctions or coming off the throttle to stop)..It does not happen all the time as the past few days it has not reappeared …very strange ?....I have had a look over it and when I last checked it ,one of the hose clips had come loose slightly beside the DV so tighten this up and took for a run to try and create the same thing but was all fine
As in general I would say it is running fecking great it goes like a scalded cat ,It hits 1.3bar no problem now as before it did not (boost leak)..The drive is smooth ..no faults there at all
The car is a S2 3B with a MRC remap
When it starts up it idles fine from cold straight threw to hot ….
When I first went to see the car, the first thing that was in my mind was boost leek as it sounded like it was drawing air when shutting off the throttle and fuel mixture was weak and making it cut out …but all hoses new and tight seal now
So what is your thoughts guys ..quite a hard one to pin down as it is not happening all the time ..The ISV is the first thing to check I suppose but since this has only occurred after fitting the above, and find it hard to think this would affect it only at this point(when shutting off throttle when underload) as it works all the other times
Would a faulty Lambda probe cause this?
Another thing as the car was not running to its full potential before do think this has created this problem when operating at its best ?
Any other ideas greatly recieved
Cheers
Steve
