Fianlly got my wastegate cap off and appologies to Paul he was right, after some heat and a bit of beasting I got the adjustment screw loose. It was loctited in there proper tight.
The reasons for doing this are that ever since having the car chipped last year I've had a funny with the boost fluctuating of WOT at low speeds. No idea why but thought that a slightly weak WG spring might be the cause. WOund it down 5 turns from standard giving 0.5bar on my boost gauge (which under reads a little) but it's not solved teh problem. I need to check that the WG can hold the pressure now...
