    Rod bearing directional installation?

Just a quick question about the rod bearings

When installint into the block is there a specific direction the aftermarket rods should be facing i.e the flywheel or pulley in relation to the bearing locater built into the rod?

They may require the tab to be on the leading edge of the bearing, i would look at a stock rod and make sure its the same way around

Just need to know which way the tab should be facing i'e flywheel or pulley as it's simply case of reversing the rod before piston assembly.

I haven't got a stock rod and piston assembly to compare as i'm building a complete seperate engine.

These might help, you can just see the tab for the upper shell, and from memory the tab for the lower shell is on the other side. You will need to double check the manual to see which side the two cast lumps on the stock rod should face, you should be able to work it out from there.

With aftermarket rods, such as Scats, the direction doesn't matter, just be consistent in every cylinder.
