Just wondering if it is possible to change the sender for the outside ambient temp readout at the base of the dash clocks to act as a "gauge" to advise of the temperature of the air in the intake manifold, using some existing sensor on the car?
Also is it possible to make the MFA readout inbetween the speedo and the rev counter display boost levels / boost pressure?
Ordinarily the MFA just displays the standard six or so items, but my bad memory suggests that by going into "service mode" other measurements can be displayed?
Something like pressing the stalk buttons in conjunction with turning on and off the ignition, gets it to display things not normally expected or known about by a regular driver.
A bit like the facility in the VW Touran handbook for making the big front windscreen wipers park at the edge of each side of the windscreen to enable the blades to be cleaned or changed. They are self parking even if the ignition key is withdrawn mid sweep and they park like folded arms down in the middle of the windscreen. If you use a small step ladder they still foul on the trailing edge of the bonnet if one attempts to lift them up.
While it may mean having to "trick" the MFA to display the boost pressure everytime you get into the car, it would not be too onerous for medium to long journeys or journeys where you just want to see exactly what the engine / boost is doing.
One last one, and I'm not thinking I need to do it, but I noticed on a B4 car for sale ad that the car was listed as having a "tiltable" steering column as opposed to the normal fixed one. Is this possible or correct?
Oh yhea, and can a passat or corrado tilt-able steering column be easily fitted to a Mk 2 Golf to enjoy an adjustable steering column? Or is it the case that it was a rare / expensive factory option for a Mk 2 Golf?
Any and all comments either ways on any of the above welcomed.

Thanks and kind regards.
