    What Next????

    Hi all,

If you were thinking of a logical upgrade beyond a phase one MTM conversion for a 'UrS6', what would you do next? (DIY except the re-map)

Money ‘is’ an object, so sensible modifications please.

I am thinking of a turbo that spins up as fast as my UrS6 but gives better performance. (May be a hybrid?)
    New injectors. (RS2 may be?)
    Possibly a new fuel pump?
    A MRC remap afterwards.

It’s already got a MTM exhaust, free flow cats and a RS2 exhaust manifold and a MTM ECU remap.

Not really bothered but “320 bhp (ish)” would be good but I do not want to go down the bigger intercooler way as it will be obvious. I want something stealth like, not a monster!!

What do you think the cost (ish) will be and what power/TQ?

Would it be drivable for a few weeks with the above mod’s done before the remap or would it be a dog?

Anybody thought of doing a sensible menu based tuning ladder for the 5 Cly engines?

    Ba,

    Andy H.

Based on that above you'd want a 2871r turbo

I've heard of over 320bhp off a k24 on an S6 but not seen proof.

The other, cheaper option to the 2871 is to go for a hybrid k24 with a larger compressor, shouldn't need injectors but will need a remap.

Get a better exhaust manifold on there as you'll get the most out of whatever you fit, if you go Wagner then you could get the Garret flange to match the GT28 and thus get a wider range of turbos?

FWIR standard injectors are OK for 330bhp but I suppose if you get RS2 injectors and the correct FPR then you're not stressing them as much.

I think that any IC you can get larger than the current one will help, assuming the cores are of comparable types.

The other thing to think of is an IC water spray to maximise the efficiency of what you have and also water injetion for the same reason.

Give Doug @ MRC a bell and see what he can do for you.

I agree with the GT2871RS suggestion (or a straight KKK RS2 turbo). 034 has a KKK-Garrett hybrid that will bolt up to your RS2 EM (which you need for these turbo upgrades). However, when you go the hybrid route, you will need custom oil and water lines for the turbo. 034 has a complete kit, turbo and lines:

You will also need larger injectors, either green top Bosch RS2 injectors or these from 034:

You will also need a 3.0 Bar sensor or a VMAP, for the reasons shown here:

        http://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/140335.phtml

You could run the turbo and stock injectors and ECU before you went for a remap (with the new injectors and a MAP sensor installed at that time). MRC or Paul should be able to get you the right remap. Otherwise, 034 has this:

        Hope that helps.

I can't remember the exact details but I'm not sure that the 034 kkk replicas are that reliable, I seem to remember that one or two people minced their pretty quickly but best check... I remember now, Jon441cc had a T04 hybrid and I think it was Lynx had a 3071?

If you go custom remap you can pretty much specify power, torque and onset of boost.
