if so id use the 034 part. it helps the damper pull the crank pulley out a fraction so the belt lines up. all makes sense now its fitted.
i found my original too. i had it on the wrong side basically using it as a washer for the crank bolt.
the part cost about 25 quid!
hoping to roll out tonight with the full wagner IM, IC kit to match the rest of the setup. i got 996 GT2 6 pots full koni and whiteline setup with solid subframe bushes and poly the rest. should be a proper beast when ive finished the mapping.

can come soon enough now
You know what you say that and on my old pulley bolt there was a washer the same as you've described, looks like previous owner never knew this either.
I'll trial and error it as it's a hopscotch of diesel and ABY these things will happend.
when you have 4 or 5 helpful mates who have done various bits. 1 cuts welds makes, fabricates. 1 helps where possible. etc i get in the way and help every now n again lol. 3 or 4 other cars about, in bits, half a dozen VAG engines 2 dozen sub engines in bits its easy to loose a washer.
i see your point and in an ideal world yes. the fact i had no subframes on jsut a block in. no nothing basically didn't help but a note to self has been written to keep an eye on all parts. lol
i actually worked from your guide paul. the washer became evident when i got the new one from audi and i looked at your piccie and thought that isn't the end of the crank afterall. good guide by the way. my mate made the crank pulley tool after looking at your factory one.
i know this is an old thread but i also am missing the thrust washer. I got a washer with my crank bolt when i purchased it, is this the one that goes behind the pulley or are there 2, one each side. Cheers.
