    still boost problems..

hi again, i have tested my car with vagcom and get these fault codes

    65535
    00513
    00514

tha car goes good on idle and so on, but the boost go up to 1 bar and then drops to 0.7-0.8 bar last time it was the oxygen sensor (lambda) cable that was disconnected, plugged it in and then took it for a drive, went much better, as original, then next day installed a boost gauge and took it for a spin, went like sh*t again, i felt it really well and only 1bar boost that drops to 0.7-0.8 bar

    temparute sensor crap?
    lambda crap?

    any suggestions?

this is what i got today, i changed the sparkplugs, they were really old and black, replaced with vosch trielektrode plugs, revved up easier and went little better but only 0.7bar boost i have now got an explonation on all truble codes, will attatch them :

    65535 - VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
Engine Control Unit (ECU) Defective memory circuits,
Incorrect Checksum for internal memory (EPROMs)
(this can occur on some modified ECU's) Check ECU ground connections, Check EPROM programming
Symptom: Check engine light may come on

    00525 - VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
    Oxygen Sensor (G39)
Sensor Wiring or Sensor defective Heat resistor in sensor defective, Signal wiring shorted to ground, Fuel tank empty, Ignition system component failure, air leak at mass air flow sensor, air leak in exhaust pipe before catalyst, poor ECU ground wire connection at intake manifold.
Symptom: Emissions not within specifications, increased fuel consumption, rich exhaust, spark plug fouling,
Carbon Monoxide (CO) percentage above 3%,

    00514 - 00514 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
Timing reference sensor, (G4) (located 62 degrees BTDC)
Sensor malfunction, Flywheel pin damaged/missing, Mis-located Sensor,
distance to flywheel pin greater than 1.2mm (3/64 inch), wiring shielding problem for G4,
hall sensor out of adjustment (3B and early AAN engines only)
Symptom: Engine will not start, possible low power
NOTE: I have seen this fault code occur after cranking the engine during a no start condition
in a few rare cases where there was nothing wrong with the Reference sensor or flywheel pin

    00513 - 00513 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
    RPM sensor (G28)
Open or short circuit, sensor malfunction
Defective sensor & cables, metal fragments on flywheel teeth
Symptom: Engine will not start, misfires, may stop running
NOTE: I have seen this fault code occur after cranking the engine during a no start condition
in a few rare cases where there was nothing wrong with the RPM sensor

    00523 - 00523 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
    Inlet air temp sensor (G42)
Open or short circuit, Defective sensor or wiring
Symptom: Slight power loss, Increase in fuel consumption

    00519 - VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
    ECU Internal Pressure sensor (G71)
    Pressure sensor defective,
Repair or replace ECU or replace internal pressure sensor

    __________________________________

last time i checked now it was only 65535 and 00513 i measured up the inlet air temp sensor and got 496 ohm @ 17 degrees

my stupid father washed the engine bay before winter he says now , could some corrosion in contacts get this issue? where is the hallsensor placed?

Thats a lot of codes !

DO the basics first - check all fuses for ECU and check the ground points - especially at rear of head and the inlet manifold.

Is that a stock ECU or some schlonky chips in there - some of the 'ebay' style chips can really be awful and give bad behaviour.

It may be a faulty ECU of course.... But I would check the resistance across the IAT (G42) and that with an LED tester you can see pulses from G4, G28 and G40.

Oh I just seen the comment about power washing the engine - this can be really bad if care was not taken - you might have water ingress and related hell round some connectors... Suggest some contact cleaner or WD40 and GENTLE warming with a hair-dryer on any affected areas.

okey, i will have some contact spray on all contacts and dry them.. i will also check the ground connections! i will reply tomorrow

        thanks!

        edit:
It may be a faulty ECU of course.... But I would check the resistance across the IAT (G42) and that with an LED tester you can see pulses from G4, G28 and G40.

i put the multimeter and got 496 ohm on the intake air temprature sensor @ about 17 degrees, should i check the cable at some way?

how do i check the pulse from g4 g28 and g40? enginge on/off and so on..
        quick lesson please

        cheers

You should find more info in the technical chapters at www.s2central.net and by searching this forum for prior info...

you also have a timing fault. Are you sure your timing is correct?have you tampered with it?(cambelt change etc?) it could be messing lots of stuff there

This sounds like the MAP-sensor is defective? Possible to try a different ECU?

i think its the ecu also, last day when i drove it out of the garage i heard a strange sound from the ecu every 5th second or so,

or replace the MAP sensor only.
