    Over reving the engine

    Hi folks!

Last night i was flat out on 3rd and some how managed to put it in 2nd! (for the first time in 5 years...)

Well result of this was a remarkable loss in power, and torque on low rpm. It also started to backfire with no throttle... Stopped the car after a feeling of heat in the engine bay. The Turbo and exhaust manifoild was pink!

Thinking of this all night i am holding a button on broken valves... the backfire can be a result of the extreme overheating of the turbo...

    Any thoughts or similar expiriences??

Try doing a compression test on it, you may have caught the valves through valve bounce.

Hope it helps and good luck.
