Funky things going on with RS2

Hello.
My friends RS2 today started to act funky.
First of all.. he removet both cats. After this process, boost was only 0.4bar. That was yesterday. Today we wanted to plug the car to VAGCOM but before that he went for a drive and everything seemd fine. Anyway.. tryed to connect the car to PC. First of all we couldnt start the car and I couldnt connect to its ECU (Cannot connect to controller message apeared). After few tries to start car it started to work. Went for a drive.. boost only 0.4 bar. Switched car off and again we couldnt start it for about 4-5mins. Then finaly again it started.. we drived a little bit.. again - boost only 0.4 bar.. but then - it started to rise at 1.5bar

Anyone has some ideas? Can removed cats couse something like this..?

But why cannot I connect to ECU to read fault codes? RS2 maybe has OBDII ?

That maybe immobiliser related. Try to read codes when its running.

Tryed to plug VAG in running car.. anyway it does not connect.

Try the connector plugs the opposite way around, not black to white but turn them 180 degrees. Mine only works that way.

Good idea there - I also know of one S2 that had 'ebay' chips installed - it wouldnt talk to VAGCOM - all good when good chips fitted !

VAGCOM absolutely supports RS2 ECU (and other controllers in the RS2 for immo, airbag, ABS etc) - BTDT. OBDII is a red herring...

Have you got a good VAGCOM install and working cables to that PC - does it talk to other Audis OK ?

Connectors can be pluged only one way

where did you get your cable from? is it original? mine only fit on one way round (non original)

I got my cable off ebay, it has both types of connector.
It does have the shape in the obd1 to differentiate the orentation, however it won't work the correct way around. Easily connects the opposite way around.
