G28 is the engine speed sender and so only recieves a signal when the engine is running. Therefore pulling the codes with the hence the engine off will always generate this 0513 fault code.

      Many thanks all.

I will change both Knock sensors when I get back from Japan mid September.

      Regards,

      Andy H.

        Knock Sensors

        1 Blue knock sensor 054905377G 30.56 GBP 30.56 GBP 5.35 GBP (17.5%)

        1 Green knock sensor 054905377A 30.56 GBP 30.56 GBP 5.35 GBP (17.5%)

I got the part numbers from ETKA6 and the part numbers are associated with other engines as well, so VAG parts got the business. Does not look a nice job though!!

Lastly, does anybody have the telephone number and web address if it exists for “White Cottage Quattros”? (For future reference)

        Ba,

For future reference, a fellow on AudiWorld recently did his and found it was easier and quicker to just remove the intake manifold (you need a very long Allen key to do so) to get access. One of the issues is getting them torqued down (22 inch lbs if I remember correctly (check it)).
