I had to drive Bristol to Sheffield with my left foot on the brake as the pads were resonating soooo badly! Must have been quite confusing for a car to accelerate away with the brake lights on.

New wheel bearing cured it for a while but then it came back, I finally put it down to my grooved discs so are getting plain ones next (in the garage).

Are you running the lambda in narrowband simulation mode and then into the Motronic? Wouldn't be suprised if the tepremental at best Moronic decided to throw a paddy...

I don't think I have tried pressing the brakes when it does it so I'll be off out shortly to give it a go.

I have been using a Innovate just attached to the tailpipe, I've had the VAG computer on it at work and the car had 2 faults, air bag and air bag light, I've not looked into the Moronic ecu the S2 uses but I'll take a guess its very similar to the ecu's I'm familiar with on the vauxhalls.

Cheers again for the noise info though, that has made me feel MUCH better about things

Its very rare I do journeys longer than 30 mins, so never really bothered me!
I was going to sort it out when the pads were changed next, but obviously never got to that stage lol
Im pretty certain its that, especially as you say its only done it after long periods of driving
