    3B/ABY/AAN in my audi 80 B4 2.8v6 Q

y I'm sorry about my bad Inglis bud i will do my best.

    I have a Audi 80 B4 2.8E quattro sedan (BJ 1992).

I want to make a S2 sedan so i like to put a 2.2 20VT in my car. ( B3 ABY oid). I have a several questions. Will a 20VT engine fit on my v6 gearbox? End how about the engine mounts in my car? I know the S2 have his engine mounts welded tho the bodywork bud a v6 the are bolted mounts. Do i have tho weld nieuw mounts in my car?

There are some threads on this subject - search for 'S2 Sedan Project' or things like that...

Essentially - YES - you can achieve this conversion but with some large tasks. Briefly and from memory -

Much better to use the 6-speed gearbox from S2 - Type 01E is much stronger than 01A quattro you have in that V6 sedan

The engine mount brackets on the chassis for 5-cyl engine are different to V6 - you will need to cut & weld correct bracket from ABY Coupe onto that Sedan - I think just on one side - but not 100% sure

Also the front subframe is different on ABY and that V6 - more clearance for gearbox or a variation of mounting - cant remember

You might need to also change fuel pump - dunno if AAH engine had same pump as ABY

Electrical wiring changeover is not easy unless you have some experience in that...

My plan is to buy a S2 coupe with rear and damage or something like that.

So i can use the original s2 gearbox & engine & radiator & sub frame & frontenginemount. End all rather of small things.

I know my v6 has his engine mounts bolted to the frame. Nou i that i bay the original 5 cylinder mounts en weld thees on my car?

I think the electric is the most difficult. But if i have a S2 donor car can i just put the hole engine wiring over in to my sedan?

If its coilovers you want - seek out recent threads on suspension kits from KW - they aren't cheap and you need to supply original struts for modification. Feedback on them seems to be good. Another idea is to source S2 Limo (or RS2 Avant) springs, ARBs and dampers for your B4 - that'll lower and stiffen it greatly.
