Green injectors are green on the bit outside the head near the electrical connector.

BTW, if your garage is that big, how big is your house? LOL

BTW, why did it bend valves?? Did the belt hop some teeth, or did it break prematurely?

The cause was the crank pulley bolt to come undone, which released its grip on the pulley so all the torque was getting transmitted by the key which is there for location purposes only, eventually the key sheared, and knocked all the timing out, the belt was fine, but i am renuing it anyways.
And cheers for the pic Tom, i am not happy that mine are not RS2 spec, but i am happy for knowing
            Cheers

Graham, the green part of the RS2 injectors is where the connector connects to.
my car was in that state the day before gregs garage meet, took me 12hrs to put back together, (straight after a 12hr night shift..not good)

Hopefully i can be re gringing and re-fitting the valves on Tuesday evening, then hopefully all being well, i can put the head back on Wednesday and hopefully if my cam pulley and hall sensor arrive in time, have her running on Thursday for the journey to Ipswich on Friday . All being well.

I'd say that will be your most time consuming job graham...re-fitting all the valve gear springs/collets etc, i had access to the audi tool for compressing valves and it was still a PITA to do..those collets can be a nightmare to get in.

Graham - just about to set off - will see you in an hour or so hopefully. You got my mobile number, yeah? I'm following a multimap, so I'll probably follow the directions up to a certain point then pass the railwy station 8 times on adjoining roads before stopping and asking how to get 'over there'.

                          Cheers, Paul

                          No more.

Leon TDI 150 run in now.

                          Very slow.

                          Needs a chip.

I have got my head back tonight and all is ok, no cracks and the guides have virtually no wear in them which is great. My bits havnt arrived yet so i will be waiting for them in the morning so i can crack straight on with the job. Thankyou Paul (APNess) for the manifold, although there was a crack in it it was no where near bad as mine and i took it to work and Belzona ceramic coated the cracks over, will see how this lasts.(The ceramic which we use loads of luckily is £200+ quid a shot and used to protect bearing housings from the heat of a 20 tonne 1000 deg C slab of steel as it comes out of the caster and seems to last a long time) i am out of options and time so have to get on with it now. wish me luck
