Hope not to offend all audi fans, but i found a cheap supra engine, an i was thinking about swaping a supra engine mkiv, in a audi 100 C4 shell. I dont know if it fits in the engine bay, as supra has a 3l straight 6 (or evene 3.5l stroker) , but on 100 C4 is a 4.2 V8 ? so it should work ? There are some benefits, 1 extra pistont, 0.8l in plus, higher hp for less $$$ and high reliablity, and a full engine is only 1500-2000$
A V8 is only really the length of a normal 4 cylinder engine. I dont know how much longer the engine bay is in a C4 compared to an 80 B3/B4, but I know an in-line 5 cylinder is a very tight fit, no way would an in-line 6 fit in there. Shame really, its probably not a bad idea, they're tough as old boots them engines.

Yap, space seems tight, especially as the engine seems to be reeally in front of the car, but if i have the aproximative dimensions, and move the radiator, i think it might just fit, in. The E36, has no more space, but the engine placement, is more toward the cockpit, probably beacuse, of gearbox ?
