Hopefully booked a driver for secret testing

Be nice to have a look underneath and see what's been done. Has got a replacemet pipe from cat to rear subframe with silencer that I can swap in to mute it down if required for any reason. All looks nicely made and was very good VFM too, same goes for the whole system.

Have got the OE hybrid dp back too so will be popping that up for sale if anyone is after a cheap option to go 3".

Just been for a drive with teh new DV in and this sounds great. It's really subtle until you're on WOT and then it's just nice. Should be fine for track noise regulations and also it's like OE for cruising about on part throttle. Hoping it;ll bed in nicely, sounds pretty beastly as it is. Be interesting with another 100bhp going through it too :mischeif:

Nah, not yet. System under the car is the same as before except for 3" and no rear silencer - looks great! Will take a pic of the OE hybrid DP, the new one is of a similar design. Basically instead of using a 2.5" to 3" cone after the turbo flange it's done after the WG pipe joins, advantages are that it's all tubular and not got the lumps and bumps of the OE section. I'd say it was fine for up to RS2 spec and then after that you'll need to get it made differently. Fit si very good tho, no knocks or rattles and the sports cat is a thing of beauty, hope it works!

I see why you wanted it changed, that pipe be good for casual modder however.

Yeah, new one is similar in design (maybe 1" more 3") so might have to be changed for GT turbo but it works well and the car feels and sounds as good as ever. I'm sure if you told Charlie that you wanted a cone piece and 3" bend then it would be done, unfortunately I was only able to deal over the phone and just assumed that's what he'd do... Still, he was very good to re-do everything and that.

How much do you think that hybrid DP is worth? I guess an OE one goes for £75 delivered so I was thinking £150 delivered in the UK?

I think around £150 is a very fair price.

Cool. I'll get it up for sale then. Ideal for S2+ like mine.

No, not had a chance, it's the same in design as the hybrid one. I'm sure that if you spokje to Charlie he'd make one like others I've seen with the 2.5" to 3" cone convertor. I' mpleased with the system, it fits well and sounds good, quieter than I thought and that's actually a good thing.
