    Denso Iridium are no cheap replacement plug. They are what HKS use they get them re-named. HKS charge around £20 per plug but you can get them cheaper @ say £12 but they only say Denso. They are being used on cars with over 600bhp and running fine.

    IK 22 = heat range 7
    24 = 8
    27 = 9

    If you go to high you may well have probs starting on very cold mornings

    Looks like Bosch F5DP0R spark plugs for upto 400bhp then

      Do the RS2's use the same plugs? If not are they a different heat range? I presume the ADU is the same as a ABY plug...

                I've heard of those American Split Fire plugs, being into the hot rodding scene!

                If I am right, these have a single ground electrode with a 'V' shaped cut and flared end, hence opening the ground tip up and giving the Split Fire plug it's name.

                Can't tell you much about the performance of them, except that somebody or other's independent report showed about 5% improved fuel economy?!! Supposed to offer a gap for flame propogation and a bigger spark "kernel" according to the blurb.

                Can't verify it, I'm using Bosch Platinum!

                          I was at a trade show a few weeks back and spoke to the NGK tech. dude about a different plug for the S2, he said to keep to the stock plug, if you make the wrong choice with a spark plug itcan cause a lot of damage. I have had to replace a set of valves in Ford Ka and a Renault Megane 16V this year, due to another garage fitting the wrong plugs. It caused the valves to burn out due to the extra heat!!! (Plugs were fitted at the dealers !!).

                          I would either use the stock BOSCH plug, or like myself use the NGK version. I have had no problems using these plugs for 30k miles. PFR7B. Platinum tipped plug for 20k change intervals.

                              I dont think these are made anymore,i could be wrong though,when they where released a good few years ago,they were super expensive plugs,and where all sorts of claims made by the company,claiming BHP increases and better fuel 100% better spark etc,there was a lot of hype on there release,but after all mags (CCC etc tested them) they were slated everywhere,so i woudnt bother using them again(even if you can get them)stick to the Bosch
