Urgent help pls re Clutch bleed nipple

BIG HELP NEEDED.



Swapped Clutch Master and now need to bleed.

I have located nipple at the back of the linkage but for the life of me cant get a 12mm in there to undo the nipple, really f`ing annoying

Ideas asap please as have about 1.5 hours left of garage time.

Turn the steering til the rack moves out of your way...

Try a deep socket on it - just till the booger moves - then try a spanner on it.

I think someone else suggested dissing one or more fuel lines to improve access as well - not 100% on that one...

HAve moved rack as far over but the nipple sits behind the gear linkage as is very tight.

Cant get at it,

Tried to remove linkage but not sure if I will cause another problem.

Will get a pic in 2 secs

Can you get a socket on it with out the extenson bar or rachet attached?..if you can get socket on then maybe try universal joint to help with the angle?

Long Socket indeed reaches

I was being a complete muppet and for some mental reason thought there was a hard pipe attached ...

Of course there isnt !!

so Long socket gets in fine ( thank god its avant not a 3B)

Gave it a good ol Gunsens and of we go, peddle back and no sticky release

Happy days ...

So now that I have this all sorted I can take my avant for only its 2nd drive with me



Whilst I have been waiting

Greens have gone on
Cleaned engine bay so so much better than when I first had it
RS2 IC on

Next is

RS2 Turbo when I cab find one
RS2 EM

And then a cruise to MRC and a blast back

Cant wait ....

Still a bit of a virgin mechanic here and all knowledge so to speak has been gleaned from the forum so having a go !
