Metal head gasket question

Been looking for a thread on metal head gasket info.
Sure i read somewhere that later S2s were fitted with a metal gasket (rs2) as standard?
Anyone know if this is true or what is the best way to fnd out if one has been fitted or not?
My RS2 parts collection is growing so wanted to get this sorted oot

The point is mute as Audi only sell metal head gaskets for the I5 as the paper gasket was discontinued pretty quickly.

I would say any car after 1993 should have one although a few have been found with paper.

You should be able to feel the metal gasket under the head if you run your fingers under it.
