    Just found a knackerd coil!

Just after i fixed the car after blowing up the inlet manifold the car started to develop a misfire.

After driving a 450 mile round trip to santapod the car was really missing like a ******* so much so it was really affecting my quarter mile times, and when driving back it was perfect while cruising along but as soon as the boost went above 1 bar the misfire came in worse than ever.

I instantly assumed that it was the spark plugs so these were the first thing i changed but did not help. So i then started to look at the coils when testing them with the ecu they fired every time without fail and whan checking with a multimeter they all performed the same on a resistance check

I then started to swap each coil in turn and take the car for a drive. Luckily it was the second coil i changed which stopped the misfire No4 coil.

    I'm happy now

This just shows that you can have a half broken coil that will drive fine until the car is on boost.

I must say the faulty coil would probably work fine on full boost on a standard or slighty modified car but when a 35r is pushing 2 bar it cannot stand the heat.

Not very good, 11.9 was the best
