My price includes 22% VAT and customs.

350 and 355 are both available with KKK housing, it's 100 eur more expensive, though
Everything less than 2 bar is considered to be naturally aspirated

for 400 to 440bhp, I'd consider a GT2871R with a .63 or .86 AR. That will give you that kind of power with faster-than-RS2 spool up. It is my favorite turbo for the small displacement engines!

Have you experienced that GT2871R spools faster than RS2 whistle? Do you have dyno sheet to show us?

But there's a view sheets showing how quickly rs2 turbo spools. For example, as I remember MRC tuned RS2 and got 601nm at 3540rpm. If we are looking at 2871 or 3071 compressor maps, its not possible that they spool up on 2.2t as quickly as rs2 does. They tend to surge, look at the surge line. At low rpm they don't produce enough steady boost. If I'm understanding anything wrong, please tell me. But until anybody has not got the dyno sheet to proof otherwise, please don't copy paste text from EFI web page.

With journal bearing I think it should be able to challenge the rs2 turbo. Still gave 400hp with 1.4 bar in almost stock 3b.

          990 eur plus shipping.
Morning Repo! What trim is that compressor?

          Marko

Edit: by the way I own one T04E right now and the numbers are like that -
          compressor: t04e trim 57, .6 A/R (in:56mm/ex:76mm)
          turbine: Stage 3, .6 A/R (in:66mm/ex:59mm).
But that does not spool closely to RS2 turbo, there is at least 500rpm the difference.

then if you like the rs2 turbo so much why dont you get a good remap and just have the limit of it,around 370-380hp rather than 400hp.? that would be a solution for you

              MRC high boost time

I didn't know 2871 could ace 400bhp? Always liked the idea of it over the 3071 to retain the 5k torque band you get on the k24, makes it much nicer to drive every day. Same price as a 3071 tho so not an easy decision...

Because I want to achieve ca 50hp more than RS2 turbo can produce. But at the moment looks like there's a dilemma - plus 50hp and at least 500rpm later spool up or better spool up and loose power. I was hoping that some kind of new school turbo can do that. Anyway, Repo's offer seems to be interesting. I would like hear more about that.

57 trim is a museum artifact.

New 50e compressor flows almost 15% more air, with 7mm smaller impeller.

Also, You turbine is stg4, not 3, I think.

Kalsket did 460hp/590Nm with 2871 and .63A/r. Got 2 bar at 2700rpm, and surged like a marathonist in a bronchitis.

In regards to the 034 chart posted on page 1, these number are power/torque measured at the wheels and not guesstimated flywheel figures. In addition, the numbers generated on a Mustang dyno are conservative, usually some 13% below whp figures from a Dynojet.

Repo, do you know anybody who has used this turbo with 2.2l Audi engine? If yes, please share nm/hp/rpm/boost figures. Also what was the setup? Also would like to see if possible that Opel's dyno sheet. Thanks!

RS2 turbo + some NOS. Option................................Or once you have 400bhp you will want more soon after so i would go 3071R then you have some head room for more power without buying another turbo to achieve more power,

Thats not the case. Ive driven 600hp 2.2t as well but thats not what Im looking for. I have my goal and I want achieve that. Just for you to know that Ive been involved with 20vt more than one or two years.

Specialists, please explain how this is possible (to get more air with smaller impeller)? I guess it has something to do with housing and impeller shape but I would like to know exactly how its done?

                                Should be pretty obvious.

New turbos rev 50-100% more than ones from 20 years ago.

Also, not all propellers are alike. Try two 10" props from different makes to Your outboard, and see if there is any difference.

Turbocharger technology took some huge leaps in past few years. And I do not mean ball bearing, but wheel design. That is exactly why some late 90's wheels are good for museum.
