on a full strip i would do the following.

    new oil pump
    new water pump.
new gaskets for sump and all.

first thing is to have the bores checked. if they are bad a bore or sleeve will be needed. then you can decide on the piston choice. if the block is good standard pistons are still worth a look.
once the block piston is decided you can loo at the rods. you can have them shot peened to remove stress but its almost as cheap to fit scats and not worry. send the piston and rod to a machine shop and have them weight matched anf balanced. ring wise i cheated slightly and put the old rings back in. i had no bore issues and so i put the rings back on the piston they came off and all is well. really i should have honed and fitted new rings. i used standard S2 shells for the rods.

the crank is pretty good to start with. i left mine as is. in fact i didn't change the mains either. if you have the crank out fit new mains. you can go uprated or standard. i see nothing wrong with the oem stuff.

personally id make a big list and go to audi for my parts. you can source the bits elsewhere but its easier to go to audi and wait for the bits to arrive.

full gasket and seal set is needed.

for the head go with a MLS gasket and arp bolts. get the new yellow seals for the water rail. and a new rocker gasket set.

check the cam pulley for a broken of fatigued keyway. do the same with the crank.
    get new plugs.

    fit new mounts all round.

depends what you want the engine to do really after the build. some may recommend specific makes of seal. i tend to use the factory stuff.

i have no plans for serious tuning, i only want to have very good motor, witch chip

motor was stantng for 1 jear in a crashed car, that is the reason why i want it completly rebuild

all gaskets and seals afcourse i'm planing to change, i just think that OEM are a little bit expensive

should i also change studs for EX?
