S2 Air filter

Looking for opinions.

My mate is wanting to increase the power in his S2 and is wondering if a direct replacement air filter (K&N) is the best option or the 57i induction kit?
Also will the Cone kit make the 5 cylinders sing!!!
He is also thinking of getting the Home fried chips advertised at the top of this forum.
