Oil Pressure

My oil pressure gauge now seems to have a mind of its own, at least i hope it has On start up the needle goes right up to 5 bar.When warm and driving it goes anything from 3-5bar, which it always has done.The problem is on idle when it is warm......it keeps flickering from 1-2 bar, it never used to go lower than 2.....should i have anything to be concerned about? Could i have a faulty sensor or something.......

sounds like it could be a faulty sender or bad connection

what is the norm. oil pressure when driving? my baby sits at 5bar. to me that is quite high as my 300bhp pulsar never ran that much and have never worked on a car i can remember running that much.

When driving it has healthy bar. It depends what gear/rpm; if i'm driving at 30/40,about 1500/2000 rpm it reads about 3 bar.When "driving" the car it's right round at 5 bar.
