I went for the ARP studs on my ABY, they are expensive and work out about the cost of 5 head bolt sets... Not sure if it'll be worth it in the long run but they'll be better for high boost.
my 3b head gasket its gone

@Rocco - the main reason (AFAIK) for people using 7A head on an S2 engine is that these old heads will not suffer from the same level of cracks induced by the more intense environment of the turbo engines. The 7A head is essentially the same as 3B with the exception of needing some holes machined on the inlet side to take the water rail used on turbo engine.Paul Nugent

hello again masters
today or tomorrow it´s my last day with the engine open, and just after close all i will want to know wich camshafts setup will be the best for my engine and my 360hp mini-project
after all i´ve bought the RS2 rod bearings too
and ALL the head gaskets.
"Paul" and "Bram" said me to mount both 3b cams but for example "AUDI90RS2" just said the opposite¡¡ both 7A cams.. aniway for the moment i have not any 7Aadjustable pulley...
other times..i believe remember that here in s2forum about settins with 3b intake cam + 7A exhaust cam...
someone knows more about it setupts???
my ECU its ready for boost at 1,9bar with RS2 turbo, greens injectors,7A FPR..etc etc..
please help...MAYBE with both 3b cams works perfect but i want to know if with some 7A cams will work some better¡¡
