    Forge motor sport ecu monitor.

Look what forge is making now :-)

Preity cool. I don't have a lab top computer.. maybe I'll consider this instead of getting vagcom.

    * SUPPORTS 16 PIN OBD CONNECTOR CARS

And the S2 doesn't have that one =/

    Very cool product though!

Josh, the Forge monitor will only work on 1.8Ts and 2.7Ts, not on the S2, because the S2 doesn't give boost and EGT readings through the diagnostics port, even though you can plug vag-com into it.

I hate to say it, but its true... None of the I5 turbo ECUs report Boost or EGT via the OBD comms. There is a boost signal which comes of one pin on the ABY/AAN/ADU controllers - but this is just analog voltage mirroring what the internal MAP sensor is doing.

Maybe one day in another ten years or so we will have completely cracked the controller code so that we can do stuff like this - NOT !

Sorry to dig up a 6 year old thread

.. but does the ECU report inlet manifold air temp through the OBD comms? I want to get an in-cablin AIT reading, and am wondering whether it's just easier to tap the IM and install an additional probe..?

                Cheers,
                Tom
