    3B Cam Profiles

My 3B cams have gone off to Kent Cams to be put on a cam doctor to measure the exact profiles. One of them has alledgedly been reprofiled to eliminate some lag. Needless to say they look completely untouched.
Once I have the specs and confirmation from the cam doctor, I will need the original profiles to compare them with, so I can pass these on to my solicitor who is now dealing with this case. Any help will be appreciated.
    Many thanks

      Nope...

He's looking for a set of figures of 'degrees' rotation against 'lift', in inches or mm's.

And so are we all...for all 5 pot turbo cams.

Total lift and duration are only the simplist of cam parameters.

Hopefully those figures will suffice. Will post up results when I have them and will let you know.

@Andy, Well I could have done if I had some to hand, but at about £50 a throw wouldn't have been able to afford it anyway

          Cheers

Chris, Is that why you wanted a set of 3b cams? If you need to borrow a set to get whatever information is needed, let me know!

              Robin,
Managed to get hold of a set just in case the old ones have been re-profiled. Especially as I was told the exhaust cam had been done .... to reduce lag?????? Hmmmmmmm
As you know issues with old tuner were all about the time taken to do the work. Things in different ball park here now where I have been totally ripped off and had car smashed into the bargain. That's why going legal route to get my money back, so the more information I have to show the incompetance the better..
              Cheers

                  Chris,
Ok! At least you will have something to compare the supposed reprofiled cam with. Unless they can tell using the published figures. I have heard of 7a cams being reprofiled to suit the 20VT but not turbo cams. I hope you get it sorted.
